Understand the team dynamics. Is it all men's team, all women's team or mix of both genders? Women's uniform should be a little fitted, while men's uniform is loosely worn.
Determine the team colours. Make sure that you choose masculine colours for men and feminine colours for women. If the team comprises of both genders, then look for a neutral colour that suits both men and women.
Determine a mascot to represent your team and incorporate it into your design.
