What about the reliability of the 10/22? Does it have a reputation for FTFs or FTEs? Accuracy?

they are as reliable as much as any semi-auto, as long as you feed them ammo they like and use the b ...

but what about a single shot .22(lever or bolt action)instead of the semi-auto? shoot slow make every shot count.

When I lived in So. Cal. they were trying to pass a county ord. that limited the amount of ammo a gun owner could store in their home it was like 1000rds total any more then that constituted an arsena ...

if you plan on adding a firearm to your preps then you need to practice with said weapon and the cheapest way for that is reloading your own ammo.

Haha, yeah. That was a nice little sewing project to personalize the kit. Also, there's a 20 dollar bill folded underneath it, so if I need some emergency cash I can rip out one of the seams.

Yeah where to get good maps??? I've used thomas guides but those are kinda pricey when your on a budget AAA auto club maps aren't bad if you know which areas you will need for just a street map books ...

If I could carry it would either be a Glock 22 or the Springfield XD in 40S&W my 1911 is way heavy and I like the 10+1 vs 8+1 I shoot well with the G22 but the XD fits my hand better

"BEST" is whatever works for you, and you're comfortable shooting.

I really like my 1911 in 45ACP but I'm looking into a .357mag revolver and matching lever action for bug ...

Put some fired cases in the revolver and practice your trigger pull. At 7 yds all those hits should be in the red!!! Practice,practice,practice!!! Smile

practice is a good thing but invest in snap cap ...
